Below are detailed descriptions of Danuta's treatment options:

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymphatic drainage massage targets superficial lymph vessels, to encourage drainage towards lymph nodes and deeper lymph structures.  This encourages the drainage of excess fluid that causes both local and general swelling in the body.  Retention of fluid can be caused by general blockage of the lymphatic system due to a sedentary lifestyle, immune system reactions, poor diet, food sensitivities, allergies, pregnancy or more locally due to surgical procedures (both medical and aesthetic), accidents, and injuries. Impaired lymphatic drainage can result in swelling, the build-up of toxins, a general feeling of fatigue, the feeling of heaviness and bloating, and consequent impaired mobility.  This gentle, rhythmic massage can have profound effects of health and wellbeing.

MPS Treatments (Micro-Current Point Stimulation)

for Scar Tissue Release, Lymphatic Restoration, General Pain Relief and Management, Pre- and Post-Surgical Care, Concussion Treatment, Vagal Nerve Stimulation for General Health or Specific Needs

MPS, Micro-current Point Stimulation, is a treatment using a type of tens device, which actually is significantly different from traditional tens devices.  Instead of using traditional alternating current, MPS uses low amplitude direct current that is in harmony with the body’s own electrical current (used for daily life processes such as cellular repair, nutrition, regeneration, energy production, healing, communication, muscle contraction, to name a few).  MPS treatments are versatile in their applications.  In the treatment of scars, MPS can be started early on as it is gentle and non-invasive and encourages a better healing process, helping to reduce both superficial and deeper adhesions.  MPS treatment also uses traditional acupuncture points in addressing various conditions that result in loss of range of motion, adhesions and pain.  MPS treatment can be of significant help with post-concussion recovery by addressing adhesions from trauma in the occiput’s sutures, trigger points and fascial restrictions.  This can be combined with lymphatic drainage massage for the face and head to address the inflammatory response.  The vagal stimulation treatment can be beneficial for relief of stress, anxiety, pain, pre- and post-surgical recovery, improvement of sleep and long COVID complications.

Bamboo Massage

Relaxation massage using a variety of different shapes and sizes of bamboo sticks that are preheated to provide warmth to the tissue.  This is a great modality for general relief of muscle and fascial tension.  This massage feels deeper due to the wider treatment surface and firmer qualities of bamboo.  This is not a deep tissue treatment, but rather a deeper treatment for relaxation of muscle, fascia, and increased circulation.  This massage combines with the use of lemon grass essential oil, which is great for reducing inflammation, detoxification, headache relief, muscular relaxation, to name a few.
